Joseph Jenkins works at the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, Office of Apprenticeship in Washington, D.C. Mr. Jenkins came to the U. S. Department of Labor as a Special Assistant in the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Office of Special Programs. Before coming to the U.S. Department of Labor, Mr. Jenkins worked at United Technology as the Manager in the Training and Development Group; Cummins Diesel as the Director of Human Resource Development; Ogden Services as the Director of Quality Development ; and Manager of Marketing and Sales at Readers Digest; Director of Human Resources at Schnilder Elevator. Mr. Jenkins graduated from North Carolina Central and attended the University of North Carolina, and the Juan Institute of Quality.
Mr. Jenkins is a trained facilitator through Organizational Dynamics (ODI) and is a trained facilitator in many problem solving programs and processes. At present Mr. Jenkins is the Team Leader of the Education and Outreach of the Office of Apprenticeship where he has served for the last five years.
